Park Rapids man crashes while under the influence

A Park Rapids man was injured in an alcohol-related crash last week.

Hubbard County deputies responded to the rural Todd Township crash around 1 in the morning last Thursday and found a driver sitting in the roadway.

The driver, 32-year-old Michael Schupp, admitted to drinking and a breath test showed a BAC of .19.

Schupp was driving a Toyota Corolla on 200th Street when he drove off the road, entered the ditch, and collided with an approach.

The vehicle was airborne before rolling over multiple times.

Schupp was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital for treatment of a possible head injury.

The incident remains under investigation.
