Pine River man injured in crash

A Pine River man was injured after a vehicle collided into his SUV at an intersection in Cass County yesterday.

The state patrol says 68-year-old Mark Standly had turned southbound onto Highway 371 from Cass County Road 44, but didn’t see an oncoming northbound Chevy Blazer until mid-turn.

Standly’s passenger was uninjured, as was the driver of the Chevy Blazer. Standly was treated for non-life threatening injuries at Saint Joseph’s, and roads were icy at the time of the crash.

All wore their seat belts, and the patrol doesn’t think alcohol was involved.
