HINES– A Ponemah man was killed just south of Blackduck this morning. The state patrol says they’re investigating the fatal crash, with little information released immediately.

The crash, according to a report from the state patrol, happened just after 2 this morning, and the man killed was 41 years old, driving a 2001 Buick Regal.

The other driver, 42-year-old Chad Adams of Tuscon, Arizona, suffered non-life threatening injuries and was treated at Sanford Medical Center.

The two vehicles appeared to have collided at the intersection of Highway 71 and Sprucewood Lane in Hines township.

The report says Adams was under the influence of alcohol while driving a 2019 Jeep Wrangler.
