Puposky woman injured in crash

A Puposky woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 89 Wednesday evening.

According to a report from the Minnesota State Patrol, 25-year-old Angelica Nelson of Puposky was southbound on Highway 89 when a northbound Honda Civic made contact with her Ford Explorer.

The Explorer rolled after it left the highway.

Nelson was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Sanford Bemidji. The Civic driver, 25-year-old Dustin Kovach of Lancaster, was not injured, nor was the passenger in the Explorer, a 25-year-old Puposky man.

All were wearing their seat belts and the airbags deployed in both vehicles.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.

The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
