A Red Lake man is facing assault and sex crime charges.
Federal court documents allege 38-year-old Tony Lussier of assaulting a person with a knife and forcing himself upon them in late September.
Lussier is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and one count of sexual abuse of an incapable victim.
Lussier made his first court appearance yesterday.
The Red Lake Tribal Police Department and the FBI Safe Trails Task Force conducted the investigation.
