Red Lake man sentenced for sexually abusing a child

A Red Lake man was sentenced to more than 19 years in prison for the sexual abuse of a child.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office said 25-year-old Kory Lussier sexually assaulted a child over a six-year period, starting when the girl was seven in 2014.

Lussier was sentenced Friday after pleading guilty last October.

The Red Lake Department of Public Safety and the FBI Headwaters Safe Trails Task Force conducted the investigation.

Lussier will also spend five years on supervised release.
