Red Lake Political Education Committee hosts Candidate Fair

The Red Lake Political Education Committee hosted a Candidate Fair in Redby last night.

Democratic candidate for Minnesota’s 8th Congressional District Jen Schultz.

A number of candidates for local, state, and federal offices were in attendance to visit with voters.

Chairman of the Red Lake Nation Darrell Seki, Senior, asked some tough questions for candidates about what they will do to honor the treaties and sovereignty of tribes.

The Democratic candidate for Minnesota’s 8th Congressional District Jen Schultz was among those that responded.

Also present were Minnesota Senate 2 candidates Steve Green and Alan Roy; as well as Minnesota House 2A candidates Matt Grossell and Reed Olson.

Red Lake School Board candidates Chris Jourdain, Roy Nelson, Thomas Barrett, and Nicole Desjarlais also made opening statements.

Beltrami County Sheriff candidates Jarrett Walton and Jason Riggs were also there, as were Beltrami County District 4 Commissioner candidates Tim Sumner and Joseph Neft.
