The unofficial results from Red Lake’s election Tuesday are in.

According to Red Lake Nation News, the medical marijuana legislation passed with 1,765 member voters in favor of the measure, with 425 against.

Of the tribal council’s four district seats, incumbent “Bob” Smith won re-election for the Red Lake district seat with 55 percent of the vote.

Michelle Cobenais was re-elected to the Little Rock seat with 63 percent of the vote, and Glenda Martin ran unopposed for the Ponemah seat.

In Redby, incumbent Allen Pemberton and challenger Herman Donnell were the top two candidates, but without receiving more than 50 percent of the vote, the two will be on the ballots for the runoff election this July.
