Remains of Red Lake man missing since October found

RED LAKE– The body of a Red Lake man missing since October has been found.

According to a release from the Red Lake Police Department, 26-year-old Dillon James Sayers’ remains were recovered April 25th.

Sayers was reported missing on October 30th but was last seen by family members October 23rd.

Two areas of interest east of Red Lake were identified during the course of the missing persons investigation, and on April 24th, those areas were searched and the remains were exhumed.

The cause of death remains under investigation, and the release says people directly responsible for Sayers’ death and any others who may have assisted or concealed information will be considered equally responsible and charged accordingly.
