Rental code ordinance on deck for tonight’s Bemidji City Council work session

The Bemidji City Council will meet this evening to once again discuss the city’s rental code ordinance.

An amendment process was terminated last December at the third reading, with the desire among some of the council to gather more public input.

Few tenants reportedly participated in the public listening session held last month.

Further changes for egress windows, parking spaces, and occupancy limits are proposed in a draft ordinance that will be discussed in tonight’s work session.
