Risk level-three sex offender to be released in rural Grand Rapids

A level three sex offender will be released from prison next week to rural Grand Rapids.

Forty-one-year-old Ryan Dorry’s sex offense was investigated by the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the fact sheet from the Itasca County Sheriff’s Office, Dorry was convicted of raping an unknown adult woman at a social gathering and used force to gain compliance from the victim.

Dorry has spent the last year in the Stillwater state prison.

Dorry will be released Monday.

The Itasca County Sheriff’s Office says Dorry has served the sentence imposed on him by the court and that this information is not intended to increase fear but raise awareness for a safer public.
