BEMIDJI– Rita Albrecht will retire from her position with the DNR on July 9th.
According to a release, Albrecht has served as the DNR’s regional director of the northwest region since September 2016, and before that, she was the DNR’s regional planner.
Albrecht’s accomplishments include implementing the agency’s land management program and improving communications with counties, as well as working to foster stronger relationships with local tribes, ATV groups, the timber industry and watershed districts in the Red River Basin.
Albrecht is currently serving her fourth term as Bemidji’s mayor.
