CASS LAKE– Leech Lake Gaming held its fry bread challenge yesterday afternoon at the Palace Casino Bingo Hall.

During the event, six contestants competed to see whose fry bread recipe would be used for the attempt to break the Guinness World Record for largest fry bread taco.

The judges listen to the rules of the contest at the Palace Bingo Hall.

According to Marketing Director Tim Elliot, the attempt will be made during a celebration of the new Cedar Lakes Casino.

Elliot describes Guinness Book of World Record’s conditions for breaking the record. Cass Metal Craft is building the pan that will be used for the 8-foot diameter, 60 pound piece of fry bread.

Tana Robinson was the winner of the contest, and her recipe will also be featured in the Pub 33 restaurant at Cedar Lakes.
