Run/Walk/Skate for Suicide Prevention underway through Sept. 12

The virtual Run/Walk/Skate for Suicide Prevention is underway through September 12, and participants can help raise money for the cause by using any location they want, including their own treadmill. Registration is $35 per person, or for groups of four or more, $30 each.

The first-ever “You Matter Chalk Challenge” includes spreading the hashtag “You Matter Bemidji” with sidewalk chalk art, or any art, and sharing a photo with the event website.

The Beltrami Area Suicide Prevention Program works to prevent suicide through public awareness, education, and reducing stigma associated with mental illness.

More information on the event is available here.

Kelly Brevig from Evergreen Youth and Family Services was scheduled to appear on KB101’s Chat About program today at about 12:15 p.m. to discuss Run/Walk/Skate for Suicide Prevention. Listen to the full interview on the KB101 website.
