Search for missing Bemidji teen continues, residents asked to check properties

The Bemidji Police Department is sharing more updates on a missing teenager last seen in October.

Fifteen-year-old Neveah Kingbird was last seen in blue skinny jeans, a black zip-up hoodie, a white t-shirt or tank top, and black and red Nike slide sandals.

Officers followed up on a possible sighting of Neveah on Washington Ave. and Pine Grove St. SW, which is just south of the last confirmed sighting at Southview Terrace.

This sighting was between 3:30 and 4:00 a.m. on Oct. 22, which follows the last confirmed sighting at Southview Terrace within the 3:00 a.m. hour.

With snow now melting and spring approaching, the family of Neveah Kingbird and the Bemidji Police Department is requesting all residents in the Nymore area and south to Hubbard County Road 9 to check their outbuildings, items with covers, and any other areas where someone may seek shelter for any signs of Neveah.

Anyone with information on Neveah’s whereabouts are encouraged to contact the Bemidji Police Department directly at 218-333-9111, or submit a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers of Minnesota, to possibly qualify for a reward of up to $1,000.
