Sex offender released in Bemidji

A Risk Level 3 Sex Offender will be released from prison to the Bemidji area tomorrow.

According to court records, 42-year-old Gerald Browneagle was initially charged with criminal sexual conduct in 2008 and convicted in 2011.

The Bemidji Police Department, in a fact sheet, says Browneagle was known to one of his three victims, and gained compliance through coercion and force.

He is described as a 6’1″ American Indian man with a light brown complexion and a large build. He will reportedly live on the 600 block of 4th Street Northwest.
