Shevlin man injured in head-on crash on Highway 2

A Shevlin man was injured in a head-on crash in Clearwater County Tuesday.

The state patrol says 84-year-old Arnold Erickson was attempting to cross Highway 2 from the median when he pulled in front of a Chevy Tahoe.

Both vehicles then hit head-on at a 90 degree angle.

The Tahoe driver, 38-year-old Thomas Dalton of Tenstrike, was not injured.

Erickson was transported to Bagley Hospital for treatment of his injuries, which were described as non-life-threatening.

The Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office, Clearwater Ambulance and MnDOT assisted at the scene.
