Short lived escape for federal prisoner

A federal prisoner escaped custody in Crookston last Friday, but was apprehended.

According to a release from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, 33-year-old Fabian Wayne English escaped during a medical appointment around 11:45 Friday morning.

During his escape, English stole a pickup truck and crashed it into a river, and was apprehended a short time later.

The Polk County Sheriff’s office says there was no danger to the public and the case is ongoing.
