Situation Update for Friday, March 26

The Minnesota Department of Health is reporting 1,714 new COVID-19 cases today and seven new deaths, bringing the state’s case total to 512,097 and the death toll to 6,821.

No new deaths were reported in long-term care or assisted living facility residents today. There have been 4,264 resident deaths in total.

Today’s data comes after nearly 34,000 tests were completed yesterday. Over 3.6 million people have been tested for COVID-19, with over 8 million tests completed.

Nearly 493,000 of the state’s COVID patients no longer need isolation.

MDH reported 11 new COVID-19 cases in Beltrami County today, 11 new cases in Cass County, two new cases in Clearwater County and four new cases in Hubbard County.

Since the pandemic began, Beltrami County has had 3,502 COVID cases and 54 deaths, Cass County has had 2,294 cases and 26 deaths, Clearwater County has had 734 cases and 14 deaths and Hubbard County has had 1,629 cases and 41 deaths.
