STATE UPDATES
The Minnesota Department of Health reports 590 newly reported COVID-19 cases and 29 newly reported deaths as of today, bringing the total to 23,531 cases and 996 deaths.
Of those deaths, 811 were residents in long-term care or assisted living facilities. Of those positive cases, 2,603 were health care workers.
To date, 233,873 have been tested for COVID-19, and 23,531 have recovered to the point they no longer need to be isolated.
Today, there are 592 Minnesotans in the hospital for COVID-19, with 259 in ICU.
LOCAL UPDATES
The Minnesota Department of Health reported one new COVID-19 case in Hubbard County and one new case in Mahnomen County, and a newly reported COVID-19 death in Itasca County. According to MDH, the Itasca County resident who died was in their 90s.
Hubbard County now has two cases, Itasca has had 54 cases with nine deaths, and Mahnomen has had six cases with one death.
