Situation Update for Monday, April 26

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 1,197 new COVID-19 cases today and no new deaths, bringing the state’s case total to 569,440.

Since the pandemic began, COVID-19 has claimed the lives of 7,079 Minnesotans, with 4,353 of these deaths among residents of long-term care or assisted living facilities.

Today’s data comes after around 20,000 tests were completed yesterday. Nearly 4 million people have been tested for COVID-19 with 9.1 million tests completed.

More than 547,000 of the state’s COVID patients no longer need isolation.

MDH reported seven new COVID-19 cases in Beltrami County today, five new cases in Cass County, one new case in Clearwater County and four new cases in Hubbard County.

Beltrami County Public Health says they were monitoring 54 active cases of COVID-19 on Friday, with four county residents hospitalized.

As of Friday, 3,582 of Beltrami’s COVID patients no longer need isolation.

As of Saturday, 17,693 Beltrami residents have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, with 14,604 completing the series.

As of Saturday, 2,561 Clearwater County residents completed their COVID vaccine series, with 2,819 receiving at least one dose; in Hubbard County, 6,215 completed the series with 7,205 getting at least one dose; and in Cass County, 8,676 completed the series and 10,474 received the first dose.

Since the pandemic began, Beltrami County has had 3,787 COVID-19 cases and 57 deahts, Cass County has had 2,580 cases and 26 deaths, Clearwater County has had 810 cases and 14 deaths, and Hubbard County has had 1,776 cases and 41 deaths.
