Situation Update for Monday, June 1

The Minnesota Department of Health reports 361 new cases of COVID-19 today, and ten new deaths, bringing the total to 25,208 cumulative cases and 1,050 deaths.

Of those deaths, 855 were residents of long-term care or assisted living facilities. Of the total positive cases, 2,725 were health care workers confirmed to have the viral disease at one point over the course of the outbreak.

To date, 255,592 have been tested for COVID-19, and 19,441 have recovered to the point they no longer need to be isolated.

Today, there are 549 hospitalized with COVID-19, and of those, 253 are in ICU.

Locally, MDH reported one new case in Itasca County, bringing their cumulative total to 55 with 10 deaths, and one new case in Koochiching County, bringing their total to nine.

Cass County, according to MDH, had had 14 cases with two deaths, Beltrami County has had 15 cases, Clearwater County has had three cases, and Hubbard County has had two cases.
