Situation Update for Monday, June 29

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 315 new COVID-19 cases and 10 newly reported deaths, bringing the state’s cumulative total to 35,861 cases and 1,435 deaths.

Of those deaths, 1,129 were residents of long-term care or assisted living facilities. Of those cases, 3,603 were health care workers.

Approximately 592,955 have been tested for COVID, and 31,225 patients no longer need to be isolated.

Hospitalizations in the state today are 278 total, with 140 in the ICU.

By subtracting those released from isolation and COVID deaths from the state’s cumulative total, that leaves 3,201 active cases of COVID in the state.

No new COVID cases or deaths reported by MDH in north central MN.

Beltrami County, over the weekend, reported they were actively monitoring four cases. Cumulatively, there have been 27 cases of COVID.

Cass County has had 12 cases and two deaths, Clearwater County has had seven, Hubbard County has had five, Itasca has had 64 cases and 12 deaths, Koochiching County has had 12 cases with one death, Mahnomen County has had seven cases and one death, and Roseau County has had six cases.

Lake of the Woods is still the only county without a single COVID case.
