The Minnesota Department of Health is reporting 829 new COVID-19 cases today and one new death, bringing the state’s case total to 498,218 and the death toll to 6,747.
Today’s lone death was a resident of a long-term care or assisted living facility, bringing the number of COVID deaths in these types of facilities to 4,241.
Today’s data comes after around 21,000 tests were completed yesterday. Over 3.5 million people have been tested for COVID-19, with nearly 7.8 million tests completed.
Nearly 483,000 of the state’s COVID patients no longer need isolation.
Minnesota has reportedly administered over 1.3 million vaccines as of Sunday, with 90 percent of the prioritized population and nearly a quarter of the entire population vaccinated against COVID-19.
MDH reported three new COVID-19 cases in Beltrami County today and two new cases in Cass County.
Beltrami Public Health reported they were monitoring 22 active cases of COVID-19 on Friday. According to their weekly update, one resident was hospitalized for COVID-19. At least 3,400 of the county’s COVID patients are out of isolation.
Since the pandemic began, Beltrami County has had 3,425 cases and 54 deaths, Cass County has had 2,253 cases and 26 deaths, Clearwater County has had 727 cases and 14 deaths, and Hubbard County has had 1,618 cases and 41 deaths.
