Situation Update for Monday, Nov. 2

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 2,935 new confirmed and 19 new probable cases of COVID-19, bringing the state’s case count to 152,934 confirmed cases and 686 probable cases.

Nine new COVID deaths were reported today, bringing the state’s death toll to 2,484.

Of those deaths, 1,734 were residents of long-term care or assisted living facilities. Of those cases, 14,846 were health care workers.

To date, over 2.905 million tests have been completed, with 2.872 million PCR and 32,366 antigen tests completed. Yesterday, over 36,000 PCR tests and 1,283 antigen tests were completed.

As of today, 132,125 COVID patients no longer need isolation.

MDH reported seven new cases of COVID-19 in Beltrami County today, bringing the county’s cumulative total to 1,023 confirmed cases, one probable case and 11 deaths. As of Friday, Beltrami Public Health was monitoring 109 active cases of COVID-19, with 21 county residents hospitalized for COVID symptoms, and there have been 12 deaths.

Fifteen new cases were reported in Cass County, for a total of 485 cases and five deaths; eight new cases in Clearwater County, for a total of 163 cases and one death; eight new cases in Hubbard County, total of 517 confirmed cases, one probable case and five deaths; 29 new cases in Itasca County, total of 878 cases and 17 deaths; three new cases in Lake of the Woods County, total of 51 confirmed cases, two probable cases and one death; two new cases in Mahnomen County, total of 141 cases and two deaths; and seven new confirmed and four new probable cases in Roseau County, for a total of 374 confirmed and 31 probable cases.
