Situation Update for Thursday, July 23

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 763 newly-confirmed cases of COVID-19 today, and nine newly reported deaths, bringing the state’s cumulative total of cases to 48,721, and 1,561 deaths.

Of those deaths, 1,198 were residents of long-term care or assisted living facilities. Of those cases, 5,764 were health care workers.

Approximately 905,315 tests have been completed since March, with over 16,000 completed Wednesday, July 22. To date, 42,524 COVID patients no longer require isolation.

Over 4,800 have been hospitalized for COVID-19 since March, and today, 282 are hospitalized and of those, 107 are in ICU.

MDH reported six new cases of COVID-19 in Beltrami County, bringing the total to 122, two new cases in Cass County, for a total of 36 with two deaths, one new case in Hubbard County, bringing the total to 13, six new cases in Itasca County, bringing the total to 113 with 12 deaths, and one new case in Koochiching County, bringing the total to 49 with three deaths.

All totals are cumulative.
