Situation Update for Thursday, June 11

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 453 new reported cases of COVID-19 and 13 newly reported deaths, bringing the cumulative total to 29,316 cases and 1,249 deaths.

Of those deaths, 994 were residents in long-term care or assisted living facilities. Of those positive cases, 3,061 were health care workers.

Approximately 381,841 tests have been completed across the state, and 24,870 patients no longer need to be isolated.

By subtracting the deaths and those released from isolation from the cumulative total of cases, that leaves 3,197 active cases of COVID-19 in Minnesota.

Today, there are 411 COVID-19 patients in the hospital, and of those, 196 are i the ICU. Today is the fifth straight day there were fewer than 200 patients in ICU beds for COVID-19. There are three more patients in ICU today than there were yesterday.

Locally, there were no newly reported COVID-19 cases or deaths.

MDH reports Beltrami County has had 21 cases of COVID-19, Cass County 11 and two deaths, Clearwater County three, Hubbard County five, Itasca County 58 and 12 deaths, Koochiching County nine, Mahnomen County six with two deaths, and Roseau County has had six cases.
