Situation Update for Thursday, June 25

The Minnesota Department of Health reports 365 new cases of COVID-19 and nine newly reported deaths in the state, bringing the cumulative total to 34,123 cases and 1,406 deaths.

Of those deaths, 1,107 were residents of long-term care or assisted living facilities. Of those positive cases, 3,486 were health care workers.

Approximately 542,696 have been tested for COVID-19 so far, with 13,072 tests completed in the last 24 hours.

There are 162 COVID-19 patients in ICU as of today, and including ICU patients, there are 336 COVID patients in Minnesota hospitals.

MDH reported three new cases of COVID-19 in Itasca County, bringing the county’s cumulative total to 63 with 12 deaths.

Beltrami County has had 27 cases, Cass County has had 11 cases with two deaths, Clearwater County has had seven cases, Hubbard has had five, Koochiching has had nine, Mahnomen has had six with one death, and Roseau County has had six COVID-19 cases.
