Situation Update for Thursday, March 4

The Minnesota Department of Health is reporting 949 new COVID-19 cases today and 14 deaths, bringing the state’s case total to 487,374 and the death toll to 6,521.

Of today’s deaths, seven were residents of long-term care or assisted living facilities, bringing the total number of deaths in these types of facilities to 4,070.

Today’s data comes after nearly 69,000 tests were completed yesterday. Almost 3.5 million people have been tested for COVID-19, with 7.465 million tests completed.

Almost 474,000 of the state’s COVID-19 patients no longer need isolation.

One death was reported in Hubbard County today, a resident in their early 70s.

MDH reported one new COVID-19 case in Beltrami County today and three new cases in Cass County.

Since the pandemic began, Beltrami County has had 3,386 cases and 51 deaths, Cass County has had 2,207 cases and 24 deaths, Clearwater County has had 719 cases and 14 deaths, and Hubbard County has had 1,607 cases and 41 deaths.
