Situation Update for Tuesday, April 6

The Minnesota Department of Health is reporting 3,014 new cases of COVID-19 today and four new deaths, bringing the state’s case total to 530,662 and the death toll to 6,889.

Today’s information is combined from data reported Sunday, April 4, and Monday, April 5.

None of today’s reported deaths were among residents in long-term care or assisted living facilities.

Today’s data comes after around 20,000 tests were completed Sunday, and around 9,000 tests completed Monday. Over 3.7 million people have been tested for COVID-19, with 8.4 million tests completed.

Over 508,000 of the state’s COVID patients no longer need isolation.

MDH reported 12 new COVID-19 cases in Beltrami County today, 19 new cases in Cass County, three new cases in Clearwater County and nine new cases in Hubbard County.

Since the pandemic began, Beltrami County has had 3,603 cases and 55 deaths, Cass County has had 2,368 cases and 26 deaths, Clearwater County has had 750 cases and 14 deaths, and Hubbard County has had 1,657 cases and 41 deaths.
