Situation Update for Tuesday, Feb. 2

The Minnesota Department of Health is reporting 633 new COVID infections today and eight new deaths, bringing the state’s case total to 463,132 and the death toll to 6,210.

Of all deaths, 3,933 were residents of long-term care or assisted living facilities. Of all cases, 36,618 were health care workers.

Today’s data comes after 10,200 tests were completed yesterday. Over 3.271 million Minnesotans have been tested so far, with 6.607 million tests completed.

Over 448,000 of the state’s COVID patients no longer need isolation.

MDH is reporting six new COVID-19 cases in Beltrami County today and two new cases in Clearwater County.

Since the pandemic began, Beltrami County has had 3,217 cases and 48 deaths, Cass County has had 2,121 cases and 24 deaths, Clearwater County has had 692 cases and 14 deaths, and Hubbard County has had 1,544 cases and 38 deaths.
