Situation Update for Tuesday, Jan. 19

The Minnesota Department of Health is reporting 922 new COVID-19 infections and six new COVID deaths, bringing the case total to 448,268 and the death toll to 5,945.

Of all deaths, 3,790 were residents of long-term care or assisted living facilities. Of all cases, 34,986 were health care workers.

Today’s data comes after over 14,000 tests were completed yesterday. Over 3.156 million Minnesotans have been tested with 6.188 million tests completed.

Over 431,000 of the state’s COVID patients no longer need isolation.

MDH is reporting three new COVID-19 cases in Beltrami County today and one new case in Hubbard County.

Since the pandemic began, Beltrami County has had 3,103 COVID-19 cases and 47 deaths, Cass County has had 2,076 cases and 23 deaths, Clearwater County has had 685 cases and 14 deaths, and Hubbard County has had 1,493 cases and 38 deaths.
