Situation Update for Tuesday, March 2

The Minnesota Department of Health is reporting 443 new COVID-19 cases today and four new deaths, bringing the state’s case total to 485,655 cases and 6,490 deaths.

Of all deaths, 4,057 were residents of long-term care or assisted living facilities. Of all cases, 37,840 were health care workers.

Today’s data comes after around 11,000 tests were completed yesterday. Over 3.478 million people have been tested for COVID, with 7.376 million tests completed.

Over 472,000 of the state’s COVID patients no longer need isolation.

MDH reported six new COVID-19 cases in Beltrami County today.

Since the pandemic began, Beltrami County has had 3,379 cases and 51 deaths, Cass County has had 2,200 cases and 24 deaths, Clearwater County has had 719 cases and 14 deaths, and Hubbard County has had 1,606 cases and 40 deaths.
