Situation Update for Tuesday, March 23

The Minnesota Department of Health is reporting 870 new COVID-19 cases and seven new deaths, bringing the state’s case total to 507,231 and the death toll to 6,789.

None of today’s deaths were among residents of long-term care or assisted living facilities.

Today’s data comes after around 13,000 tests were completed yesterday. Over 3.6 million people have been tested for COVID-19, with 7.9 million tests completed.

Over 490,000 of the state’s COVID patients no longer need isolation.

MDH reported 11 new COVID-19 cases in Beltrami County today, five new cases in Cass County and one new case in Hubbard County.

Since the pandemic began, Beltrami County has had 3,477 cases and 54 deaths, Cass County has had 2,277 cases and 26 deaths, Clearwater County has had 731 cases and 14 deaths, and Hubbard County has had 1,623 cases and 41 deaths.
