Situation Update for Wednesday, Feb. 3

The Minnesota Department of Health is reporting 669 new COVID-19 cases today and 24 new COVID deaths, bringing the state’s case total to 463,766 and the death toll to 6,234.

Of all deaths, 3,946 were residents of long-term care or assisted living facilities. Of all cases, 36,705 were health care workers.

Today’s data comes after over 21,000 tests were completed yesterday. Over 3.276 million Minnesotans have been tested for COVID-19, with 6.628 million tests completed.

Nearly 450,000 of the state’s COVID patients no longer need isolation.

MDH is reporting eight new COVID-19 cases in Beltrami County today, two new cases in Cass County, and two new cases in Hubbard County.

Since the pandemic began, Beltrami County has had 3,225 COVID-19 cases and 48 deaths, Cass County has had 2,122 cases and 24 deaths, Clearwater County has had 692 cases and 14 deaths, and Hubbard County has had 1,544 cases and 38 deaths.
