Situation Update for Wednesday, March 10

The Minnesota Department of Health is reporting 922 new COVID-19 cases today and nine new deaths, bringing the state’s case total to 493,013 and the death toll to 6,705.

Four of today’s reported deaths were residents of long-term care or assisted living facilities, bringing the number of deaths in these types of facilities to 4,224.

Today’s data comes after around 20,000 tests were completed yesterday. Over 3.53 million people have been tested for COVID-19, with over 7.6 million tests completed.

Nearly 480,000 of the state’s COVID patients no longer need isolation.

MDH reported seven new COVID-19 cases in Beltrami County today, three new cases in Cass County and two new cases in Clearwater County.

Since the pandemic began, Beltrami County has had 3,407 cases and 54 deaths, Cass County has had 2,236 cases and 24 deaths, Clearwater County has had 723 cases and 14 deaths, and Hubbard County has had 1,613 cases and 41 deaths.
