Situation Update for Wednesday, March 3

The Minnesota Department of Health is reporting 788 new COVID-19 cases today and 17 new deaths, bringing the case total to 486,434 and the death toll to 6,507.

Seven of today’s reported deaths were residents of long-term care or assisted living facilities, bringing the total COVID deaths in these types of facilities to 4,064.

Today’s data comes after around 25,000 tests were completed yesterday. Over 3.484 million people have been tested for COVID-19, with 7.396 million tests completed.

MDH reported seven new COVID-19 cases in Beltrami County today, four new cases in Cass County, and one new case in Hubbard County.

Since the pandemic began, Beltrami County has had 3,386 cases and 51 deaths, Cass County has had 2,204 cases and 24 deaths, Clearwater County has had 719 cases and 14 deaths, and Hubbard County has had 1,607 cases and 40 deaths.
