ST. PAUL- State lawmakers are in northwestern Minnesota today, hearing pitches for projects vying for state bonding dollars.
House Capital Investment Chair, Mary Murphy of Hermantown says while assembling a bonding bill that ultimately didn’t pass, they heard the local needs of people, agencies and communities.
Murphy says they were told earlier this year that the amount of a bonding bill could exceed three-point-five-billion dollars.
The committee was in Detroit Lakes, Moorhead, Thief River Falls and Bemidji yesterday, and will be in Browerville, Little Falls and Becker today.
