Summary of actions taken during city manager’s performance eval expected in tonight’s meeting

The Bemidji City Council will provide a summary of the action taken during the closed performance evaluation of the City Manager in their regular meeting Monday.

The council will also begin the ordinance amendment process for the city’s rental code for the second time.

The changes proposed would set minimum sizes for egress windows depending on when the dwelling was constructed; limit unrelated persons in a rental unit to the number of off-street parking spaces available.

The egress window requirements would apply to new and license renewals, with a grace period established for existing rental licenses in the city.

The council will hold the first public hearing of the season for Bar 209’s seasonal street-sidewalk cafe license.
