DETROIT LAKES– The Becker County Sheriff’s Office has identified the suspect in the shooting death of 27-year-old Jamie Lee Bevins, Jr., of Ogema.

Eighteen-year-old Ronald Thompson the Third has not yet been located and law enforcement is asking for the public’s help in finding him. Thompson allegedly shot Bevins to death early Sunday morning after 3 in Maple Grove Township.

Thompson, according to a release, is known to carry guns and currently has felony warrants for firearms and parole violations. Anyone with information on Thompson or the case is urged to contact the Becker County Sheriff’s Office.

Bevins was recently arrested on five felony warrants and fleeing police in Becker County after leading deputies on a high speed chase in early May.
