Suspicious fire under investigation

Authorities are investigating a suspicious fire near Bemidji.

The Bemidji Fire Department reports that the single-story structure burned Friday afternoon on the 2100 block of Roosevelt Rd. SE.

The home and its contents are considered a total loss.

No injuries were reported, according to a release.

Twenty-one firefighters were on the scene for more than four hours with seven pieces of equipment.

The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office, Bemidji Ambulance Service, Beltrami Electric, Minnesota Energy, and the state Fire Marshal’s Office assisted at the scene.
