Thirteen invasive species to be added to DNR’s prohibited list

The DNR is accepting public comment on classifying 13 invasive plants and animals as prohibited to protect the state’s resources.

According to a release, a full listing of the targeted species are on the DNR website.

Most of the targeted species are aquatic, with one exception, the jumping worm.

The proposed rules and notice of intent to adopt expedited rules were published in the state register on Oct. 31.

Written comments are due on Dec. 9.
