Three Chicagoans arrested, charged for drug sales in White Earth

Three people from Chicago were arrested for selling large quantities of heroin in Becker and Mahnomen Counties and the White Earth Reservation.

The Becker County Sheriff’s Office says the investigation took approximately one month to complete.

According to a release, a traffic stop was made in Detroit Lakes last week and with assistance from a Becker K9 Unit, law enforcement seized what they believe was 196 grams of heroin, two grams of cocaine, and over $6200 in cash.

Thirty-eight-year-old David Verner, 57-year-old Vincent Verner and 38-year-old Pamela Hillard-Sykes, all from Chicago, Illinois, were arrested and charged with first degree drug sales and possession of a controlled substance.
