Three in custody after pursuit

Three are in custody after a pursuit in Becker County yesterday.

According to a release from the Becker County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to Seven Sisters Spirits on Highway 59 for suspected shoplifters who law enforcement knew to have outstanding warrants.

The pursuit led to speeds exceeding 90 miles per hour, but a PIT maneuver ended the vehicle pursuit, with the four occupants of the stolen vehicle fleeing on foot.

Two of them were apprehended immediately, but a K9 unit tracked the other two for a mile through a heavily wooded area.

Twenty-eight-year-old Casey Adam of Moorhead and 33-year-old Danielle Abendano of Detroit Lakes were arrested on their warrants with new charges pending.

One rear seat passenger was later released, and another rear seat passenger was kept in custody on out of county warrants.

Methamphetamine was also found in the vehicle, and the 1999 Jeep Cherokee was stolen out of Fargo.
