Three teens arrested in connection with series of drive-by shootings

Three teenagers were arrested last week after an investigation into a string of recent drive-by shootings.

Cass County Sheriff Tom Burch says evidence was collected at three crime scenes this month.

On Sept. 18 around 6:30 a.m., deputies responded to a rural Cass Lake residence on a report of a drive-by shooting. The suspects left the scene in a vehicle.

The next day, around 2:30 a.m., deputies responded to a drive-by shooting at a residence within the city of Cass Lake. Again, the suspects left the area in a vehicle.

On Sept. 22, around 4:30 a.m., deputies responded to a gunfire incident at a home in Cass Lake. This time, the suspects left the area on foot.

No injuries were reported in any of these incidents.

On Sept. 22, a search warrant at a rural Cass Lake home led to the arrest of a 15-year-old boy.

On Sept. 23, a traffic stop was initiated in Cass Lake and a short pursuit ensued.

Two more juvenile males, one at the age of 15 and the other at 16, were taken into custody.

Formal charges on these three boys are pending and the investigation continues.
