“Turn a Page” Thursday with United Way Week of Caring

The United Way of Bemidji Area’s Week of Caring continues today with “Turn a Page” Thursday, with a focus on the United Way’s work with literacy in the community.

The United Way has partnered with Dolly Parton’s “Imagination Library,” which distributes books to children from birth to age five, as well as “Serve Minnesota” that works with area youth.

Adults are encouraged to discuss reading and literacy with their families, businesses or groups, families should have a reading time, and for action, share a story on social media with pictures with your favorite book.

Larissa Donovan is the News Director for the stations of Paul Bunyan Broadcasting and has been, almost without interruption, since Election Day 2016. Larissa, native to the great state of New York, grew up in Bemidji and enjoys spending her spare time with her son Logan, daughter Brigid, and pets Vincent and Piper. She also loves reading, Star Trek, and gardening... badly.
