Two accomplices sentenced for their roles in double homicide

Two were sentenced to prison for their roles as accomplices to a double homicide three years ago.

In a sentencing yesterday, 33-year-old Kristi Trisco of Bemidji and 56-year-old Daniel Linde of Cass Lake appeared.

Trisco was 45-year-old Darren Stebe’s girlfriend when he shot Adam Thorpe and Jason McDonough off Highway 89 on Jan. 28, 2019.

Trisco admitted to investigators she had helped Stebe spend the $5,000 stolen from the victims and used one of their vehicles until they were arrested.

Trisco was sentenced to 18 years in the Shakopee women’s prison.

Linde was sentenced to eight years in the St. Cloud men’s prison.

Linde constructed the burn pit and helped move the bodies for their disposal.

Both received credit for over 900 days already spent in custody. They were each convicted of aiding and abetting second-degree murder after the fact.

Stebe was sentenced to life in prison earlier this month.
