Two arrested in Bemidji drug bust

BEMIDJI– Two were arrested in a local hotel last week for first degree drug possession.

According to a release from the Paul Bunyan Drug Task Force, they completed an investigation stemming from anonymous tips about the distribution and sale of heroin within Bemidji and Cass Lake.

Thirty-one-year-old Isaiah Johnson and 26-year-old Ileisha Guinn, both of Cass Lake, were arrested after a search warrant executed found 84 grams of heroin, as well as a small amount of marijuana, cash and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia.

Johnson was also taken in on a Department of Corrections Warrant. The Leech Lake Tribal Police Department, the Bemidji Police Department, the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension assisted in the investigation.
