Two injured in alcohol-related snowmobile crash

Two were injured in a suspected alcohol-related snowmobile crash this past weekend in Hubbard County.

Sheriff Cory Aukes says 21-year-old Megan Offerdahl of Park Rapids and a juvenile passenger both had serious leg injuries after the crash in Lake Emma Township Friday around 7:30 p.m.

Offerdahl was reportedly operating the Ski-Doo snow machine in the ditch of the Emmaville-County 4 Road when she lost control and struck a tree.

Officers detected the odor of alcohol with Offerdahl admitting she consumed Peach Schnapps and Busch Apple.

Offerdahl and her juvenile passenger were transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital.

A warrant for a blood sample from Offerdahl was obtained with results still pending.
