PARK RAPIDS– Two Menahga residents were injured in a crash in Park Rapids Tuesday afternoon.

According to the state patrol, a Pontiac Sunfire, driven by 55-year-old Steven Demmon of Menahga, was eastbound on Highway 34 when he attempted to take a left turn onto Henrietta Avenue.

The Ford Escape, driven by Elisabeth Carr of Des Moines, Iowa, struck the Sunfire, and a Toyota Tundra, driven by David Bretschneider of Bemidji, was rear ended by the Sunfire while sitting at a stop sign.

Demmon and his passenger, 47-year-old Danielle Lafferty of Menagha, sustained non-life threatening injuries, and Lafferty was treated at the Saint Joseph Hospital.

No one else was injured in the three-vehicle crash, all were wearing their seat belts and alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
